Carter Co KY Marriage Register p 18: 2 Day of Dec 1854 (bond 23 Nov 1854) Floid McCormack to Frances Ratcliff married by C. W. Honaker, Judge of the County Court. Place of marrige: Samuel Ratcliff(father of Frances). Name of witnesses present: James Plummer & Johnson Ratcliff.

Clergy-Circuit in Methodist Church, lived at Olive Hill KY & Denton KY across the road from Sam & Sarah McCormack on Straight Creek near Denton. 2nd marriage to Martha Haney. No marriage record has ever been found. Martha's son Jim lived with them. One family member referred to Martha (Granny Mack) as a shouting Methodist. She was very jealous of the deceased Frances Jane McCormack and the picture of Floyd & Frances had to be covered when she journeyed across to the road to Sams' house. Martha's son Jim inherited the estate.
